How you got there/why did you have an interest in becoming a pharmacist/completing a residency?

Arthur chose a career in pharmacy because he wants to do something which provides a wide range of opportunities that can incorporate a diverse patient population, and he wants to make a direct impact
on the lives of patients.

Professional Activities:

Arthur is currently serving as Co-Chair of Operation Immunization at Pacific University and as a student representative of OSHP Education Affairs Council (EAC). Arthur also serves on the national ASHP
Pharmacy Student Forum (PSF) Advisory Group, developing resources for student relevant education, and helping bring these resources back to the Pacific Northwest.

What are some your career goals as a student:
Arthur hopes to pursue a PGY-1 to grow his clinical knowledge.  Afterwards he wishes to pursue a PGY-2 in oncology to enable him to further his education and passion in oncology pharmacy. He also aims to actively engage in leadership opportunities in order to help
Fun fact about yourself:
"My hobbies include hiking and backpacking as well as going to live music events. I also enjoy collecting 1950's jazz vinyl records."
Advice to future students:
"Don't be afraid to reach out to your professors about questions or even career advice. It may be intimidating to talk to faculty since you are in a relatively large classroom, but from my experience, professors I have met are incredibly dedicated to their job, as well as open to mentoring students and helping them succeed."
