What made you take an interest in OSHP?
I’ve been a member of OSHP since 2016, shortly after moving to Oregon.  I was introduced to Kristy Butler while I was still in Colorado and I was making plans to move to Oregon.  Once I got here, Kristy introduced me (through wine, of course!) to many other colleagues and friends who were also OSHP members.  Through those connections, I joined OSHP and then subsequently became the Northern Chapter Chair-Elect and Chair.  Others should consider becoming more involved due to the fantastic networking opportunities and a unique ability to help shape health-system pharmacy practice in Oregon.  OSHP is very involved at a legislative level and also provides members with great opportunities for continuing education in a wide variety of topics.  I have found members to be super engaged, welcoming, and always willing to share.  I’ve made so many connections and gone to many different people when I’m facing a particular problem and I want some additional input.

Fun Fact About Yourself
I have traveled to all 7 continents and want to hit them all a 2nd time.

Inspirational Quotes
From my Grandmother:  “If you’re early you’re on time…if you’re on time, you’re late…if you’re late, you’re left.”

It has always resonated with me the importance of being on time and the sign of respect it shows that whoever you are showing up for is important.  As a result, I try very hard every day to ensure I’m on time.

Henry Ford:  “When everything seems to be going against you, remember that the airplane takes off against the wind, not with it.”

I love to travel and reminds how important resiliency truly is.
