Elected officers (see below for open positions) will serve to advance the OSHP mission: The Oregon Society of Health-System Pharmacists is a professional pharmacy organization that advocates for excellence in pharmacy practice. We strive to achieve this by supporting our members through:
- Educational opportunities promoting optimal drug therapy
- Provision of a forum for the exchange of ideas and opportunities, and
- Interpretation and development of legislation relating to pharmacy practice standards.
OSHP is currently seeking the following professionals to serve in elected leadership positions:
- President-Elect (3 year commitment)
- Secretary (2 year commitment)
- Junior Board Member-at-Large (2 year commitment)
- Northern Chapter Chair-Elect (2 year commitment)
- Southern Chapter Chair-Elect (2 year commitment)

Timeline for Nominations and Elections:
- Nominations are open between NOW and March 5, 2026.
- Nominations will close on March 6, 2026 at 11:59pm PST.
- Elections will take place between March 18, 2026 and March 25, 2026.
- Voting instructions will be provided when the ballot is distributed to the membership.
Open Positions for 2026-2027
Elected Positions
President-Elect (3-year commitment) Serves as Vice Chair of the Board of Directors and Executive Committee and performs the duties of the President when needed. The President-Elect is a President-in-training and is actively involved in major decisions, leadership planning, and preparation for their presidential term.
Secretary (2-year commitment) Serves as Secretary of the Board of Directors and Executive Committee. Responsible for maintaining official records, preparing and distributing meeting minutes, managing correspondence as directed, and supporting Board accountability and follow-through.
Junior Board Member-at-Large (2-year commitment) Serves as a voting member of the Board of Directors and works closely with the Senior Board Member-at-Large. Supports Society initiatives including delegate elections, awards processes, and special projects while gaining leadership experience at the Board level.
Northern Chapter Chair-Elect (2-year commitment) Supports the Northern Chapter Chair and prepares to assume the Chair role. Assists with chapter programming, continuing education, communication, and member engagement, while representing the chapter on the OSHP Board of Directors.
Southern Chapter Chair-Elect (2-year commitment) Supports the Southern Chapter Chair and prepares for future chapter leadership. Assists with planning and coordination of chapter activities, member communication, and local engagement efforts, and represents the chapter on the OSHP Board of Directors.
Appointed Positions – Council & Committee Chairs
Membership Council Chair (2-year commitment) Leads statewide membership engagement efforts, including recruitment, retention, and leadership development. Coordinates council activities, supports chapter and section leaders, and reports membership initiatives and recommendations to the Board of Directors.
Professional Relations Council Chair (2-year commitment) Oversees professional practice initiatives, standards development, and collaboration with allied organizations. Leads council activities, manages council goals and budget, and reports recommendations and outcomes to the Board of Directors.
2026 Annual Seminar Chair (1-year commitment) Provides leadership for planning and execution of the OSHP Annual Seminar. Works closely with staff and volunteers on program development, speaker coordination, timelines, and overall event delivery.
Industrial Relations Chair (1-year commitment) Serves as a liaison between OSHP and industry partners. Leads the Industrial Relations Committee, supports partnership development, coordinates exhibitor engagement, and communicates industry feedback to the Board and seminar committees.
Legal & Regulatory Affairs Chair (1-year commitment) Leads review and interpretation of legislative and regulatory issues affecting pharmacy practice. Coordinates committee activities, serves as a liaison to legislative partners, and reports policy updates and recommendations to the Board of Directors.
Technician Council Advisor (1-year commitment) Advises and supports the Technician Council, helping guide programming, engagement, and leadership development for pharmacy technicians within OSHP.
