ACPE Information for CPE Presenters
Please review this information on how to prepare a quality continuing education activity. The information in this document conforms to the standards set forth by ACPE and will help ensure your activity meets the OSU College of Pharmacy Goals for CPE Programs and Activities.
The OSU College of Pharmacy Office of Continuing Pharmacy Education will plan and implement continuing education programs that:
- Are relevant and useful to the pharmacy profession
- Are accurate, balanced, and contain only scientifically justified recommendations based on best practices and evidence
- Are free from commercial bias, and create a clear, unbridgeable separation between accredited continuing education and marketing & sales
- Promote improvements or quality in healthcare, including ensuring optimal medication therapy outcomes and promoting patient safety
- Review new therapeutic options, regulations and protocols, and/or state or national legislative updates pertaining to pharmacy practice
- Provide pharmacists and pharmacy technicians with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes to improve outcomes, promote patient safety, and/or improve workplace environment in their pharmacy setting
