Ron Brown, long time active member of OSHP passed away on Tuesday, August 3, 2021.  Ron had a 50 year career at the Veterans Medical Center and was involved in the creation and development of advanced pharmacy practice and resident education over several decades. .  He was a very active member of OSHP, having served as president, organizational affairs chair, seminar chair, and was one of the first to be named a fellow of the Oregon Society of Health-system pharmacists.

A celebration of his life and career will be held at the Kennedy School in Portland, Oregon on Sept 29, 2021.  At this time, the many people that were touched by Ron will have an opportunity to share his impact on them, tell a story, or share a memory of him.  A virtual video session will be provided for those who wish to honor Ron, but are unable to attend the celebration in person.  Ron was a residency director and mentor for many pharmacists throughout the United States.
